Join Our Lab

The Shiwarski Tissue Engineering Lab (STEL) at the University of Pittsburgh is actively recruiting motivated PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. Our interdisciplinary research combines FRESH 3D bioprinting, vascular tissue engineering, cell biology, and open-source hardware development to build novel experimental platforms for regenerative medicine and human disease modeling. We seek trainees with strong quantitative skills, a collaborative spirit, and genuine curiosity about solving problems at the interface of engineering and biology.
